Thanks Andrew,
I really like Raitendo. It's a really clean layout and overal design. Just the bottom half of the front page that's a little off for me and the slideshow thing isn't working too well. Looks like FreeGamesNews gets tons of traffic. Regards, |

Just thought I'd let you know that an early beta version of my new WordPress powered arcade has gone live.
It's called Craverz and if you're interested take a look here. There's a lot of work left to do, but it should give you an idea of what it's heading towards. Thanks for all the support on this thread. |

Looks quite good so far. I see you've stuck to your original design/structure plans pretty well.
On most games I'm getting an error when I click them. "Internet Explorer could not open the page "XXXXXXX" and is aborting." Works fine in Firefox. Regards, |

@messa please do show me the code, I'm always up for alternatives. Thanks very much indeed.
@arcadegamez: good ideas. Thanks a lot.. Adding some site stats, I like it. The game count can just be a simple WordPress post count, pretty easy to display and latest games and latest blog articles to come once the blog begins. |

I've just started an arcade using WordPress.
I think it works well because there are so many good plugins. It may not be the best CMS for an arcade site, but is better and cheaper than most of the alternatives. I read your article, AndrewE, and found it very usefull! My wordpress arcade link is http://www.nowares.us

Hi
I have built a couple of WordPress arcade sites: Zap Gamez & Loopy Pursuits. I also found wordpress to be slow at first, but then I discovered the WP Super Cache plugin, which speeds it up a lot! I have also developed a wordpress plugin WP Games Embed (very much a beta at the moment) which allows you to embed games in a wordpress blog with various different options. The plugin is free so feel free to test it out... WordPress is great for any kind of site because it has great SEO and so many plugins available. |
