Just wanted to post this on the forum since its good news for people who want to gain better performance from there websites. So finally google adsense has released something that would offically help them get on there feet and understand adsense better.

Getting started with Google Ad Manager. Get an overview of our hosted ad server, which helps you to manage effectively all direct-sold and network-based inventory. After this presentation, you should understand all the advantages of the product as well as how to use it. Talking AdSense optimization in Google Ad Manager: Find out how Google Ad Manager can help publishers maximize the value of their ad impressions while reducing ad serving costs.
Bigger is better: The three ad formats in highest demand from advertisers are the 300x250 medium rectangle, the 728x90 leaderboard, and the 160x600 skyscraper.
Maximizing revenue by exposing your channels to the right advertisers: When setting up custom channels for your site, be sure to check the box that says 'Allow advertisers to target this channel' to increase your chances of having your inventory placement targeted by advertisers.
