Default does putting ads in iframes help loading time?

so i've noticed sometimes ads load slowly and hold up the rest of my site from loading.

will putting the ad code in an iframe resolve this?

That is a solution that was provided for me for handling slow loading banner exchanges, but it might carry some consequences for ads. For example, doesn't adsense attempt to place relevant ads based on content? What is the content of the iframe source?

Yup, using iframes will solve this. If you're using a contextual ad network like adsense, make sure the iframe loading the ad code is within the same top level domain and preferably within the root folder. Ex http://www.yourarcade.com/ga728x90.html

This is especially good for sites using AdEngage ads. On all my sites I have all the ads loaded in an iFrame which is loaded by javascript. I am thinking about just using a regular iFrame not loaded by JS though. It may be cutting down on my earnings if they have JS turned off.

Lik whoochoochinchilla I too put my adengage ads in my iframes. When they were in the page directly those ads made the entire page load slowly. But when I put them in iframes the page loaded even though the ad was not completely loaded.
