Default IE6 Browser compatibility

Hey guys, I'm not good at coding or anything and neither is the people I work with, but it seems like http://PinkyArcade.com is not working properly with IE6. I know that it didn't work too well since the beginning, but I really didn't realize that 66% of the viewers use IE as a browser. I could have sworn that FireFox is the biggest used browser.

I guess because games are mainly played by "teens" and since school is in session, school usually uses IE.

Anyways, I've tried many things to try to fix the compatibility with IE6, but can't figure it out. The owner told me that IE6 basically has NO SUPPORT now, so he can't even do it. Thanks to this guy in the forum, some of the tables were fixed for IE6 with the following code:

HTML Code:
* { overflow-x: visible !important; overflow-x: hidden; }
The code is in the style.css file. I hope someone here could help me with this and if you need the .css file, I can send it to you. It just sucks that now I realize that about 25% of the total viwers use IE6 itself. Talk about lost traffic, lol.

Thanks in advance!!

I'm not real sure what you mean by messed up. I'm looking at it in IE6 sp1 and the only thing that looks out of place is every entry in the "All The Latest Games" column is stacked on the left side instead of in 2 columns. In the CSS you have the class .gameitem including in it's definition float left. That could cause them all to stack on the left instead of side by side like that.

Thank you, I'm going to look at it again. It was very bad before the "code" was added, but yea, it's only the middle "latest games" that are stacked to the left.

I'm pretty sure most schools use safari and firefox. I know every school in my area uses only firefox and safari.

Really? I guess it depends on the area, but every school here in California...Los Angeles County uses IE. I think all of them are still on Windows XP, so IE is the main browser. I take it your schools uses Macs .

The computers at the schools here are all locked too, so you can't install anything or edit anything. Some allows you to install, but once you restart, it restores to the original...

College has....

IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari but usally ie is training standard so recommend to work with that before you even consider other browsers.
