Question Talk to me like Im a 4 Year Old - No Follow Tag

So..

If you hard code my link on your PR8 website with the NO FOLLOW tag.. I get no Google juice.. right?

Why the hell would anyone do this as a practical matter?

Correct.

People do it to cut down on spam links, and because (some people say) it helps your own SEO.

It also suspends sites that do link exchanges with you and use OUT.php pages instead of the real URL.

Google promote webmasters to use the NoFollow tag.

Its basically used for if you want to sell a text link on your site purely for traffic purposes and not for search engine ranking factors which google frown upon you doing.

Ok, so in this scenario, if people had the ability to leave a link in comments or a forum, you could code the NO FOLLOW link so as to prevent credit and discourage..

Right?

Thx

Yep.

Spammers (MOSTLY) dont spam on a forum that doesnt give SEO juice.

Some forums give you the OPTION. One is DP, which as a nofollow BBCode
HTML Code:
[nofollow][/nofollow]

It''s my own opinion that nofollow attributes still give link juice............just from my own testing

I think goog does not understand what they created...........try it!

I completely agree with Gameserpent and reality is far from what most gurus share on the net. Guys Big G made a problem that they can not fix and here is why IMO. Big G when all is said and done is a search engine and the nofollow tags are not a standard for anyone but Big G.The problem I think is since every search engine does not recognize the tag it would mean that there is a potential for Yahoo to have more data. Data is the life blood of search engines like traffic seems to be for arcades. So unless everyone respects the tag then can Big G really risk potentially Yahoo or someone else having data and references they don't have? No not in my opinion and that is where the problem came in. Really simple because we all have credit reports and all the 3 major reporting agencies live off of data therefore not one of them can define a filter alone unless all of them agree.

hmm... interesting. Your statement would make sense. If no follow links do have google juice they must be devalued or some thing. I will read more on this
