Hosting Recommendations

Anyone have good recommendations for affordable and reliable virtual dedicated or dedicated servers? I need to get the heck away from my current provider. Down for two hours because of disk space, still not up, and talking to the support is like talking to a wall.

I've got a VPS with http://www.crissic.com they got offers on all VPS 35% off and so far this vps is pritty stable for me anyway, Quick setup too.

How much GB do you use in traffic monthly?

Thanks for the suggestion of crissic, I'm checking them out now.

As for budget, I'm currently spending (with this last upgrade) $40/month. But will venture higher for something you guys find reliable. I'm not sure how much GB I currently use, and I cannot even access those statistics right now (why, who knows).

Great! Now they are telling me it could take up to 24 hours to allocate the extra disk space. It's already been 2 hours since they originally told me up to 30 minutes.

Thanks for the link Mike. Currently, I'm just paying month by month with namecheap.com's pro hosting plan. I'll probably change after find out whether THC offers PHP 5 (on the link it only said PHP 4).

By the way, do you host pinkyarcade.com with that host (on a similar plan)? I'm kind of worried about going above their allowed system resourses script policy.

If you have anything specific, you could definitely talk to their "LIVE SUPPORT". They're very helpful. My team and I actually host ALL of our sites on 1 dedicated server.

I have a few buddies that also use THC and they love how THC gives everyone their own dedicated IP. From what I've been told, you usually do not get your own IP. As for the PHP thing, I'm not too sure, but their support could answer you quickly. I'm not too familiar with this stuff :P
