Something Wrong With Google Analytics?

The last 3 days (including today) google analytics says I have a combined total of 16 visitors. I know this can't be right because the tracking software that is part of my hosting says that I have over 1,000. I checked my index page and it has the code in header. Do you guys have any idea what could be wrong?

I checked the source for your category page, and it aint there, so it wont track hits on that page.

Server side stats are less accurate, as they count bots as visitors too.

Thanks. I'm going to look into that now. Maybe I deleted the head tag or something.

I checked and it's up on my index.php page in the <head> section. On my google page it says

Receiving Data Conversion Goals. Google says it is working fine, but it's not.

lol, I have taken the code off my blog before for a month and Google still says "Receiving Data". It doesn't update until you tell them to check

Anyways, the best place to insert this code would be the footer. You can guarantee that the footer is on every page, so that should work.

the header is different then the index.
the code has to be site wide.
nothing in the arcade script needs to read the javascript,so put it at the bottom,like in the footer.

analytics checks if the code is added to the site,not if it is on every page.

I dont even know how to change my source code for my category pages! Can someone help me with that. (this is a different matter than the google analytics)

Put it in the footer, it should use the same footer through out the whole script.
