Well, I was looking over "arcades247's" thread about the redirecting links and it was mentioned in that thread that a URL like http://domain.com is different from http://www.domain.com in search engines.
I have only slight knowledge of this, but was told that it's important to keep "ONE" type of url throughout everything, so the search engines would not find it as duplicate content. I'm trying to keep the domain with www. in front, but where or how would I be able to redirect everyone to this? Thanks!

I was reading about the redirect and it mentioned that I need to put that in my .htaccess file. Is that correct? I don't want to make any mistakes, so could you please tell me how exactly would i be able to include it? Thanks!

When you type in Google as http://google.om it redirects. Your site had the problem where it wouldn't - it didn't seem to make any difference to me apart from some people linked to both. The question remains if 500 people linked to the site minus www and 500 to www then in theory page rank would be split between them, if according to fatt gutts you can have different content on both. The other problem is when if you add this redirect does it now pass on that juice from the old half to the new site thus increasing PR on the single domain you wanted?
