Default Can someone recommend a good web designer

I've been striking out with designers lately. And I haven't gone cheap either. So, I really need some good recommendations. My budget for the design is around $300. I'm not looking for something out of this world...just something that stands out. And I already have a logo, which can be modified as the designer sees fit. Oh, and if you recommend someone that I actually use, I'll send a free 3-month PR4 link your way.

Thanks guys!

Maybe you're not getting good results because you're not being very specific as to what you want.
You get to know how to go about things with freelancers after you've been doing it a while and I'd say the number one thing is to be specific about what you want.

- What script
- Give at least a few examples of the style you do like even if you don't choose the colors, etc.
- How many colums, boxes, any paticular ad spaces, etc.

edit:
I could suggest 99designs.com. It's sitepoints new web design bidding site. You won't likely get a coder there though.

You can get some good designs done on other freelance sites like getafreelancer. But you have to do your research on the person bidding on your project before you accept.
Or search for simular projects with work you like and invite them specifically to bid on your auction.

Regards,

Have you tried Digital Point? If you do, make sure to use a safe payment processor, though.

Hi,

I'm really interested in doing this project, but unfortunately I can only offer the design service, not the coding - though I can recommend quite a few people to do this. My portfolio site is down at the moment, so here are a couple of recent designs:

Arcade site, in progress:
Index
Sub

Fictional animation centre website:
Index

Add me to MSN - ed at twadz .com and we'll discuss further if you're interested. I'll show you some more of my work there.

Thanks,

Ed

PS. About 99designs, Yea, I won a couple of contests there , it's quite good but contests often get a load of awful entries. I dislike the idea that the contest holder doesn't have to guarantee any prizes, and can just walk away from it with new ideas from what the many designers submitted!
