Looking for testing/feedback on new PHP/MySQL arcade
Hello all! Long time reader, first time poster!
I've been reading a lot in this forum about which script is better than which, what features are most useful, etc., and have decided to try my hand at creating my PHP/MySQL arcade from scratch. I do not think I'll be releasing the scripts to the public, but I will be using it on my own site. I'm actually a beginner at all this stuff, and I'm not sure my security and coding is 100%. What I'm looking for is a few trustworthy folks to take a look at my site, kick the tires, and see what works and what doesn't from both a creative as well as a technical point of view. There's still plenty of features waiting to be added. So far, i've got: -games (of course) -high scores (v3 and ibpro compatable) -private messaging -user avatars (with integrated flash avatar creator!) -site-wide shoutbox -newest games list -top players list -popular games list -browse by category I won't go into future features yet because I may not be able to figure out how to do them, tee hee hee So anyway, if you're interested in helping out, PM me and I'll send you the link. I'm a little too worried about randomly posting up the link just yet, even if it is on a test server... EDIT: Before it comes up again, the layout of the site was influenced heavily by the DARK theme for OnArcade. It has a similar list of features to OnArcade, but then again so does every other arcade script out there. That's where the similarity ends though. Nothing is stolen, it's all original code. My other site uses the OnArcade script, and I like it very much, I just found it difficult to modify, so I started writing my own. Call it a knock-off if you wish.
