The server you have is not very good.
I'd reccomend going with Softlayer and getting a Xeon 3060 with atleast 2gb.
See there specials page for a coupon.

Let me know if you want more info.
Softlayer is a great company. I'd be happy to help you get setup with them.

Regards,

is the unlimited bandwidth legit?

they even have a 100mb/s unlimited option.

I've used the 10mbit unmetered with them and fully throttled it. (Gets you about 3,500gb)
The 10 or the 100 is a dedicated line with great bandwidth providers for the price. (Their standard network providers. Not some reduced budget providers for unmetered packages.)

It's not fully managed but they do offer per ticket support for $5 which apparently is excellent service from what I've heard.
The server is setup and only requires some last cPanel tweaks to go live.

Have a live chat with their sales.
You'll probably get Amanda. She's really nice.

Regards,

You're forgetting ongoing OS and security updates which is a full time job if you ask me.

I think I'm moving to an Opteron server with 2GB RAM or a Q6600 server with 4GB RAM. The server is fully managed and comes with 3TB banwidth. The opteron is $375/month and the Q6600(Quad) is $500/month. That should solve my problems for the time being.

Yes, the Korean traffic is paying for itself an getting me a bit extra.

I don't know what operating system you're using but CentOS doesn't really need updating.
cPanel updates itself. Or it trys anyways.
PHP5 is stable and MySQL is doing fine. You shouldn't need to do much.
You're going to pay $500 for a q6600?
I guess you're beyond help then..

You have no idea how much server management I require. My admin spends many hours with me working on load balancing and monitoring my server load, his service is an A+. I could get a Q6600 for about $300-$400 with 3TB bandwidth included if its unmanaged but right now this deal:

Q6600 Quad-core server
4GB premium RAM
Raid 10 Config 2*250GB drives(I think)
3TB premium bandwidth
Full management and monitoring

Hell, my admin writes .htaccess files for me if I really need it. Its well worth $500.

I might need a 30-50mbnit dedicated line if this keeps up though. I think I'm going to close in on 200,000 pageviews today.

Remember, full management is $100-$150 over the server itself.

Messa....like mentioned here. There is more than letting your server auto-update.

Arcadejunkfood....NO...there is no such thing!
if you get a 10mbs feed, you will cap out due to constraint to BW pipe.
If you get a 100mbs feed you wil cap out...............
5 Mbps will yield about 1650 gigs per month
OR

5 Mbps will yield a peak transfer rate of about 550
Kilobytes per second. 10 Mbps will yield a peak transfer rate of about
1100 Kilobytes per second and so on.
5 Mbps will yield about 1650 gigs per month

It is like a hose for water. One is 1/2 inch, the other is 1 inch. You open the water supply and no matter what you doyou wil only get so much water in the bucket.

I don't know what you guys are talking about that needs constant updating. Some examples please!

To keep it running smoothly you don't need to update much but you do need to watch it.

If if you plan on having money to burn for some time and like to pay for things you could easily do yourself and should learn then by all means it's your choice.

About unlimited/unmetered:
Softlayer clearly lists it as "Unmetered" and not "Unlimited" which is legit. It' s a dedicated line.
I think I give up though guys...
