Lets Get Organized..

Ok Im fairly new to Arcade sites prob only 3 - 4months experience, I have made other sites and dipped my toes in web design plus my growing addiction with SEO is helping. But the Biggest problem I had was staying organized.
I started FunGamesZone.net just as a hobby never really took arcade sites seriously till just now..

Last night for about 5 hours I started organizing everything from - images, game files, banners and logos(some I forgot that I made) snippets of codes, links , affiliate programs ....Everthing. It took a few beers and a bucket of good old KFC but now its done, and let me tell you it has made everything so easy.

I can see a big differance already. Plus Im keen as to pump out some more content and game descriptions.

My point here is targeted at the Newbies. Don't make my mistake. Get Organized from the get go. It will make things so much easy for you.
I had a list of sites in my favorites that had about 150 -200 links in it scattered everywhere ,now I have seperate folders for differant links/sites.

Here's something else I did yesterday. I went and bought a white board..It's huge and fits in my computer room perfect. cost me $60 but well worth it. Now when I come up with ideas and stuff I just jot it down, even stats and SEO stuff that I plan to do.

So - if your a newbie or if you have been in the GAME for a while take 5 and get organized , I bet it will give you a good boost.

I certainly would agree with what your saying. You have to think of it as a business and be business organised. Also a lack of organisation can cost you time and money.

I Need a other computer...
3 Just isn't enough... lol need to get my hands on a other TB storage for all the animations / games i got...

Think i'll be stealing waza's whiteboard... Lmfao i'll send in brendgard maybe he has the power of jello cubes! lmfao!

I aint organized. I have files on my PC everywhere. Yet, I hardly ever back-up my stuff. WebGamesNetwork has been the best organized, because I have backups made everyday, by the host.

Probably im the worst at organising here all of my files are messed up i have got files and folder that i dont need ! and a big junk of other stuff... (not kfc...)

I would not trust their backups if I were you. I've heard too many horror stories about how somebody thought that the host was backing up(part of the service package even) but when the site went down...........

Hmmmm white board. Never thought of that. Good idea.

Well, something is wrong with my webmaster forum, and I keep having to get the host to put it back to the backup. Everything always is fine.

WebGamesNetwork has never required a backup, though.

I'm organized at the site level. Ie anything and everything I do for a site goes into a folder named sitename.com

It's good to see someone is organized Fahd, good stuff. Thats what I normally do with my other sites but they have no where near the files I have for arcade related sites
