I've been adding a dhtml script to my site but one question, will google and other search engines be able to read the content within this slider: Dynamic Drive DHTML Scripts- Featured Content Slider

This is a job for! arcadesitebuilder! lol

I've got something along those lines shoved into piczogame.net i guess its pritty easy for them to read it within the content according to some google searches i done most said

"It's easy to configure and search engine friendly."

So yea they properly will be able to read the content within that slider..

EDIT - i would pm arcadesitebuilder for extra brief info..

Just giving it the once over, it looks like Google at least would see it, perhaps some of the others as well. Seeing it and digesting it and applying it to a website's indexing is another story. The only one that I would think would even stand a chance would be Google, and I'm not sure that they would. Even Google's crawlers have a harder time with content that is nested in multiple tables, etc, and they are probably the most advanced out there. This might be seen as being inside a container(JS) and they might not be able to use there proximity rules because of it. They are getting better though, and if more and more of this pops up they will undoubtably alter the programming rules to make it apply. Where Google goes, most SEs follow at their own pace. More than likely it would help your site, especialy in the long run.

Yes they will.

All the code is put into DIV tags that are in the actual HTML coding. The JavaScript only show/hides the content of each. The search engines will be able to read all of the content whether it is hidden or shown it doesn't matter since the content isn't embeded into the SCRIPT tag.
