Default CSS problem

Hey guys I didn't know if someone could offer some help. In certain pages on Midnight Gamer I'm having a CSS area going funky on me. It's most obvious when navigating to a player's profile (under Top Players), but it's a problem in all of the pages that have floating areas within the grey content boxes in the center. I've tried closing DIV tags and clear: both in certain areas but I can't find what's causing the problem. It's doing this in Firefox and IE, so its not a browser bug. It's like that center section sees the content of the left menu as it's own, so it goes down the length of the page.

Thanks for looking

Hey guys just wanted to give a quick update that I fixed the layout problems. CSS and I have a love/hate relationship right now: I love it when it works as expected, but I hate it when trying to figure out WHY it's NOT working as intended!

Yeah, CSS positioning is tricky, I'm not too adept at it.

I been off a bit and missed it. What was the problem, and what was the fix? Might be something we can all learn from lol.

Midnight Gamer has a header, footer, and a 3 column layout in between. Then the center column sometimes would have a 3 column inside of it, and sometimes a 2 column. My problem was how the center column's 3 or 2 column layout kept floating in accordance OUTSIDE the center column container. VERY frustrating because the code was logically sound.

All of the tutorials online say to float: left the left column, float: right the right, then set the margins on the center column. I tried three variations of this by painting the left, right, then center and also trying left, center, and right. Nothing worked consistently throughout all the pages.

In any case, the script had a couple of pages where they were using a mini 3 column layout in some containers. I applied it to the entire site and it fixed everything! It's really quite simple to explain; just float: left the 3 column layout in sequence (left, center, then right) and use your CSS width so they will remain perfectly floated. Voila! Oh wait... then just go through all of the PHP pages and functions to make sure the <div>'s are where they are suppose to be.
