Arcade Scripts Compared

Hi,

ok after about 2 weeks of research, it plays out like this (sorry for the extra post but I thought it would be good for this to have its own thread). I've put down roughly the main details of what I've found out about the main arcade scripts in use, if I've got any of these facts wrong let me know.

1) OnArcade

Lots of features (can play NES games?), 1000 games, very good support, no problem with copyright removal, basic template looks good although doesnt' look like much room for ad placement. Ioncube needed for installation.

Price $59

2) Game Site Script

Lots of features, 500 games, been some negative talk about support, although has the biggest number of forum discusions!, copyright removal extra $95, basic template looks very good (best of lot probably).

Price $75+$95 (copyright removal) = $170

3) PHPArcade Script

Lots of Features, 150 games (more available for low price), Very good support mostly from an active community, Mods available, copyright removal not a problem, no encryption of anything, basic template doesn't look so great but meant to be easily changed.

Price $50

4) Advanced Arcade

Lots of features, 2100 games, support seems a bit sparse, copyright removal extra $25, ioncube needed for decryption, basic template doesn't look so great but I have seen some great looking modified ones online.

Price $49.95 + $25 (copyright removal) = $74.95

Haha, i'm still trying to figure out which is the best for my website, I guess it comes down to whats more important? number of default games? Support? How good the basic template looks? Decrypted or not ? and lastly price although these are all pretty much in the same price range ($50-$170)

Good job in your search and data!
I guess you need to ask yourself some questions.

* Can I mod the template? YES/good<>NO/how much for one or webmaster
*Game packs<> price to bring them all to say...hmmm, lets say 1500 games. This changes the total pricing
* Do you really care about CopyRight removal?
* Can Ioncube be installed and supported on the server?

I have my own script I sell, but for what you have posted and I own one PPPAS... I like that one.
