Don't know but that is great! Maybe your games have the right keyword for that search.

each page has it's own ranking for keywords.
not all pages are indexed by the google bot.

What do you mean. Do you mean your sites pages with the games on or do you mean the actual game .swf file?

If it's the .swf file then I would personally try and stop that happening as if people click on it they will play the game while using your bandwidth and there will be no ads shown.

I doubt it was the direct swf link because google doesn't really read swf files.

You don't know much about Google then, lol. They have been indexing swf files for a good while now. They can't index mine though as I written a script to prevent any search engine indexing the files and also preventing all hot linking to my swf files, which is not done via .htaccess as that doesn't work when it comes to stopping hotlinking on swf files unless IE has fixed that bug in their last update.

BUt they can't read any of the info inside the swf. That's what I mean. So usually pages that have the game embeded and description would show up before the swf.

I just checked dirt bike - Google Search for the dirt bike game and freeonlinegames.com cam up first and about 6 - 7 results further down it was their .swf file listing. So I guess you may be right there and I would have thought the same, but even though there is still a chance that many people may miss the actually listings with the page on the game and click on the .swf listing instead meaning that you will get nothing out of it.

Saying that, freeonlinegames.com would get something out of it as they made that game and have their links embedded in the actual game itself.

.htaccess has nothing to do with I.E. It is an Apache function built into the Apache web server. Hot link blocking via .htaccess will work unless you did not write the rule correctly. Also cpanel can stop hotlinking just as easy!
