Have you invested money in your site, before profit?

What did you all invest into your sites from the beginning. Did anyone invest a lot? I am wondering if whether I am being stingy or not with putting money into my sites.

Also how much would you invest if making another arcade site?

I have invested many thousands in my arcades. 90% or more all went into ThisArcade for advertising. Before this January I would spend close to 1k per month on advertising and make a 30-50% return per day in profit. But every since January Intergi has been terrible and I am no longer making money. I am about breaking even though.

Im kind of new, have not much time with my own arcade,

My biggest investment has been my time and work, ive spent a lot on it. Maybe if i dont code/design my expenses would be terrible just to make a site.

At the moment the most ive spent is server payments and a bit of advertisement, no more than 130 usd per ads and 60 per server, though....

ATM my income has surpased the total investment.

Oh almost forgot, i just paid for a game, so add some $$$ to the investment, however im hoping to see good numbers after all

I have a good job and could invest more into my arcade if I really wanted to, but this is a hobby for me, and if you can make money with your hobby then all the better right?

I started about a year and a half ago with 100 dollars. It took me over 6 months to get my first adsense check. I have reinvested every penny from my arcades, either from ads or from selling sites back into my arcades. My network has grown quite a bit in the last 6 months.

This last month I invested nearly 1400 in advertising alone. Not to mention I picked up a couple of undervalued sites to add to my portfolio. So by reinvesting the money earned in various ways I have created a small network of arcades that nearly doubles my monthly investment. I get no google love from se, and still make money doing what I do.

I believe that with the right set up one can multiply their investment quite a bit. The method I am using relies on cheap traffic and traffic leveraging. If I was to try what I am doing on just a single site I would lose money or at best case break even.

I put more time into my sites than money. I've spent $500 on a Mochiads campaign and sponsored a game for $1500, but that was only after my site was profitable. I wouldn't invest much money into an arcade unless it had a revolutionary idea behind it.

That would depend upon the quality of the game you sponsor and what deal you got on that sponsorship in comparison to your keywords in Google.

k let's say you sponsor a good exclusive game($3000) and spread it over the net with "play more games" link & logo etc in it...What would be better? $3000 ads or the a $3000 exclusive game?...

I have invested around $100 on my arcade at the moment this went on the domain, hosting, arcade script, custom header

Luckily i have lots of knowledge inn the SEO field so don't have to spend that much!
