Default My New Arcade Blog

Clearly this is a bit of ruthless self promotion on my part and I can only hope you find it in yourselves to forgive me. But I wanted to put a quick shout out for my new arcade blog. Actually it's more of a 'relaunch' than a new blog but it does have a new design and there is quite a bit of new content.

In any case, it's the place where I get down dirty with the arcade world. I throw a few punches around, curse at the sky and recreate the world according to moi. Join me for some entertaining discussions. Feel free to let me know that I'm full of s**t and please do leave a comment if something takes your fancy...thanks for listening. Here's the link to my crib. Here's a little pickie of what she looks like.

Ok I see what you mean, some practical guides to running an arcade. I like it. Yeah please do write something if you have time. Or we could collaborate on a series of 'how to' guides for arcade webmasters? We could even open it up to multiple contributions in case other people want to contribute.

Here are some ideas for parts of the series. I'll get started over the coming days.

- How to start your own flash games arcade on a shoestring
- How to generate traffic for your acrade
- How to find the best games for your arcade
- How to optimize your arcade
- How to buy and sell arcades
- How to stop yourself from going insane when running an arcade
- How and where to network with other arcade webmasters
- How to make your arcade stand out from the crowd
- How to use your arcade as a replacement toaster
- How to make money with your arcade
- How to avoid flashing banner ads but still get traffic with your arcade
- How to develop your arcade brand
- How to choose the right name for your arcade
- How to pimp your arcade so it doesn't suck ass
- How to stick it to the arcade man and do something different with your arcade

Ok, some brilliant news! TA's very own GameHopper has written the first post in this series and he's done a fantastic job. His article is entitled "10 things not to do when starting an Online Arcade". Check it out and please do leave feedback on the blog. This is an awesome start to the series. I will be writing some entries myself soon.

The offer for further guest posts around any of these themes is open to all. I can provide links back to your sites and include author blurb if you like. Please pm me if you're interested and either talk it through with me or send me an article right off the bat.

I'm wondering if it's worth me starting a new thread putting a call out for this? What do people think?
