How many games?

Hi,

What arcade has the most games? I've seen some sites with over 4,000 but I think there might be a few out there with more.

Also, how many games do you guys have on your arcades and how many do you add a week? What do you think is more important: quality or quantity?

Quality over Quantity is what I say.

I have over 1000 games, but have seen sites with just 100.

I have played every game before I add them, because I dont want crap games. Sites with 4000 with have loads of sh*t games.

I think it depends. Everyone has their own taste, some users will play anything while others only quality stuff.

i have seen a site with 10k Games (he brought the 9400 games pack from essence)

i have only 330 games and most games are reviewed by me before adding and also i like quality over quantity too.

In a way, for search engines, a form of seo known as "brute force seo" i think its called? The more games the better if your going after that method of getting traffic. I have about 2450 games on my site, that isnt an amazing amount by any arcades standards at this point, but it is a good amount, and before i switched what keywords i was targeting, I was getting a lot of search engine traffic, and not from general keywords, but long tail keywords, mostly ones that had to do with the game name and a combination of the keyword i was targeting. So the more games I had, the more my site was showing up.

Thats my two cents on this. Quality is definitely a good thing, but as long as visitors can find what they want once they get to your site, if they are searching for a specific game and find it via search engines simply because you have the game onyour site, quantity cant really hurt too much either.

Can prove me wrong if you want, Im willing to listen, thats just been my experience so far.

I have around 1000 games on my site and most of my traffic comes from direct game related search phrases.

Though I am deleting some of my less played games and adding better games.

Also I add approximately 20-30 games per week 3-4 games daily via Onarcades Gameslave.

free-arcade-games.org has only 20 games and it receives more traffic
than all the sites you mentioned combined.

More games isn't so important.

StumpyGames.com has 387 games right now and I woud venture to say that is more than I need. I actually only show the top 30-50 games in each category based on overall number of times played. Users don't want or care to see 100's of games they have to wade through. They want to see good ones only, and if they have a specific game in mind they will search for it. Otherwise, give 'em something fun and quick right away and move on.
