The OP (original poster

) says his/her "anti cheat software" caught this, but what does that really mean?

Also, as someone else asked, can you post the IP address range in question? It really could be search engines indexing links.

Or it really could be people surfing via proxies (people do that) and that is why Analytics will show no visitors coming from Gamesbarrel.

Did all these visitors happen in a short time or were they spread out through the day. I could see an issue if all 40 hits came within a couple minute period.

And like everyone else has said, ASB is a standup guy and is a great person to do business with.

First off I apologize for sounding like I'm accusing you. I was not, but rather letting people know so they can also protect themselves from proxies. Over my companies network of sites we have over 10,000 exchanges on anti cheat software, and your site came up every single day with Maximum proxy hits detected and blocked. IP ranges logged. Out of the other 10k not one had this issue.All the same ip ranges showed over and over which resolved to the United Kingdom. The person using the proxy is also showing a lan address10.106.96.123 behind it. I recommend looking into this, because it just looks very strange. If you need help protecting yourself against bots, let me know. I have scripts, htaccess code, apache code etc. This is my business, and I must protect it, I hope you understand.

Anyways once again sorry for any miscommunications.

One last thing I just caught this guy cheating, his mistake? He did not mask his ip behind the proxy, therefor he was caught because all the ip's hes using are in Bosnia. On top of this, his domain is registered in Bosnia as well. I'm not fooling around, and people should really protect themselves from this. These people will and do cost me thousands of dollars per month. Heres the ip ranges watch out for them, and add the to your anti cheat protection.

After this post the proxy hits have stopped coming to my sites from gamesbarrel. It seems that he has fixed the problem. Now I am only seeing one hit per day from 76.177.59.47 PENNSYLVANIA SHREWSBURY ROAD RUNNER HOLDCO LLC. on each site. Thanks.

If you dont like proxy visitors then damn just block them. I am not here to police your sites for you and you have no right to tell me or anyone else how should be allowed to visit their sites. I'm very confused, I am not trashing you, and everything is fine now. The proxy hits stopped after you fixed whatever problem it was.

Heres why I have problems with proxy traffic that is fake. Google does not like false impressions, and when any site gets impressions on cpm ads(banners) via proxy. This can cause many problems, and also effects cpm based on CTR, conversion rates, time spent on pages etc. This causes smart pricing, and earnings can vary per day in the hundreds based off of a small change. For instance my cpm dropped one day around .20 cents probably due to poor traffic, and on just one site it lost around 80 dollars for that single day. So once again people doing this do cause problems.
