Default Lost claim against phpArcadeScript

I lost the claim, because Rick pulled a fast one and blocked me from posting any more messages. I am now considering taking the more expensive route [lawsuit and court] and costing Rick more than a measly $30.

Dear Daniel White,

We have concluded our investigation into your case:

Case ID: xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Transaction Date: Jun 13, 2008
Transaction Amount: -$30.00 USD
Seller's Email: payments@phparcadescript.com
Seller's Name: PhpArcadeScript

Unfortunately, we were unable to resolve this claim in your favor because
the item purchased was virtual or intangible. As a result, we have not
taken any action against the seller at this time but we have noted your
dissatisfaction in the seller's record for future reference.

If you still have concerns about this transaction, we encourage you to
continue to work directly with the seller for an amicable resolution.

Thank you,
LaMonica

Not even worth going to court over. It will end up in small claims court and to get more out of him you need to prove damages done to you which will not be easy and then taking time off of work. And then if you do not win it will cost you more. He might even file a counter suit againt you. Weather he wins or not who knows. So to me its best to cut the losses and move on.

You could have provided more proof to paypal reguarless if the convo got cut off. they always allow to add more proof after it gets to the next level. Happened to me.

My 2 cents. I know your pissed but I really don't think it is worth your time to take this to court.

Daniel ...

So was the basis of your claim against phpArcadeScript the fact there were bugs in the script or was there more to the claim?

The problem with PayPal is that it is very difficult to ever win a dispute related to virtual/intangible goods.

The free bad press that phparcadescipt is
gonna receive is not helpful.

In the US the customer is always right, regardless!

If you asked for a refund you should get it.

It was bugs in the script, which were not mentioned prior to purchasing the script.

A script is still a product, and this product was faulty which in turn I asked for a refund for.

I have never been able to recover on intangibles from PayPal, that is why I always pay for intangibles/virtuals with a credit card through PayPal instead of using my balance (you must transfer your PayPal balance out to your bank account to be able to do this).
Your credit card company CAN reverse the charges on fraudulent merchandise even if its virtual. Not saying PHP AS is fraudulent, that was just a blanket statement there.

it is true that there is no chance with paypal to recover money, but if you use your credit card, your claim would be with paypal.
wouldn't you risk your account bing closed?

rule of thumb, don't send money to someone that you can't afford to be scammed.
on lager amounts use a CC processor or moneybookers.

this claim,your just unsatisfied,you weren't scammed.
does everybody file claims against microsoft because there are some bugs in the OS?
