Hi, let's make another long thread
Mathematics (basic level): Some sites send you 100000 visitors. In order to continue sending you traffic, they require traffic back. So, you have to send 100000 visitors back. Easy, you forward every visitor, and you send 100000 visitors back. Really? How many of visitors you got will NOT click any other game and will NOT go back to your partners site? A lot, I will say. So, there is a gap, big gap. Banners exchange? Yes, but in order to get traffic from banners exchange, you have to send traffic to them too, so it's not solution. Search engines traffic? Good one, but if you are not no1 for 'games' there will not be much, you will be short. And all this means you have no hosted games, because you have to send visitors back, not to keep it on your site. I will not talk now about 'quality' of the site that just forward (and fool) visitors. Question: how will you accomplish this? Answer: Easy, cheat your traffic exchange partners. Not the biggest one, they are experienced just as you are, but small-middle sites. And find a lot of small ones and there will be a lot of traffic just for you. Randomly choosen sites from bootyarcade.com partners list, and statistics of traffic exchange with bootyarcade. In and out data for every site are taken at the same time of day. Site In Out defenseonlinegames.com 10 41 123peppy 0 35 twilightgamer 2 29 freshcoolgames.com 857 1017 (all time) swgamers.com 13 61 gamedorks.com 6 79 earcade 115 147 arcadehog 320 547 (all time 25420/45062) noodan 104 160 swfgames 0 210 girlsgameplay.com 33 269 itsnotbadatall.com 293 438 ... I can see everything except 1:1 traffic exchange. Do you people track your statistics at all??? Don't believe? Open http://www.bootyarcade.com/index.php?action=links (or homepage for first 100 links), randomly select few sites, mouse over it's link to see how many daily in, then go to that site and do the same for booty link, you will see for yourself. Maybe difference of 50-100 visitors daily doesn't look much, but 50*400=20000. And almost everyone links to booty with 'hard' link, while he links with redirects. And many of you have his banner?? Place redirect link to booty with counter, and follow in and out stats, you will be amazed how many free visitors you sent to booty, and your exchange is more like 10:1, not 1:1. Check it, don't believe his script, it's even worst. Even better, booty started a thread where he wants to buy links, and some of you offered. You don't know your site can be banned from google, and booty will be for sure? Read a little what Matt from Google say: http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/how-to-report-paid-links/ And everyone who have a link to booty should be warned, when google disqualified booty it may penalize any site that have a link to that site. Cmon people, stop buying that 'I have to feed my kids' crap, 'All of you are zeros and if you don't play by my rules I will email 451 webmasters' crap, 'I will send you 1:1 traffic' crap, 'I want to help you' crap, ' I will not send traffic to anyone if don't play by my rules' crap, 'I'm so sucesufull and you are nobody' crap... Start working on your sites, update content, exchange links and traffic with good sites, track statistics, don't force and fool YOUR visitors to other sites just to feed booty kids... Booty raised so fast, but I think he will fall even faster, get out of that boat. And no, I don't hate anyone, I just want to help you, small arcades owners (hm, where did I heard that before??) Yeah the formatting and grammar sucked on that but I read it.
Interesting way to look at it.....You are right the math just doesn't add up.... I have also noticed something else fishy about his site.......If you watch the hits in on mouseover for a particular traffic trade partner site....it changes many times throughout the day. For example I watched one that said on mouseover Hits In: 749 then I refreshed the page and it said Hits In: 719.....now should'nt that number be going up not down? It happens all day long too . I bet it will get changed real fast now that I just posted this.....I bet the script will even be changed soon......I bet he will say it was an error. The simple fact remains that something is odd.....and many people are seeing it. In other threads here in the forums you can see that there are some javascript cheater scripts....... Now all that is needed to make it undetectable is a script written in PHP that can actually spider a few links deep so that it looks like your getting real visits and there is no way anyone could possibly know that they are getting cheated. Even without a spidering PHP script.....there are other cheater scripts out there in PHP that send fake hits.......mix that in with what little traffic you do have and it makes your site appear to be sending lots of real hits. Ever wonder why these seemingly big sites want to trade unframed traffic? I believe the reason is is because a cheater script can not follow frames! However their excuse for not using frames is because they don't track as well. But we all know that tracking code from a good hit/referrer counter works just as well on framed pages....... Think about it people......... If you don't believe then here is something else for you to think about.....ask yourself why your CTR or CPM rates are not what they should be considering all your traffic from these seemingly bigger sites....... Who are the seemingly bigger sites? Just look at the toplists of one and you will see a pattern on all the rest........they give themselves away. |

I'm not sure what your motivation was for this post but here are my observations on some of the topics in your post
Quote:
This is true, there will be a percentage of users coming to your site that will not them subsequently click through to someone else's site. There is however a percentage of users that will click through to more than one other persons site, maybe 2 or three sites. Quote:

http://www.bootyarcade.com/hosted In fact, if he didn't have hosted games, he wouldn't get nearly as much traffic as I bet a lot of this referral traffic comes from game plugs. Quote:

Bottom line is I have sent Booty a bunch of traffic and Booty has sent me a bunch back, we both win. It's not like other 1:1 exchanges I have signed up for where I send a bunch of traffic and get nothing back. Those are the ones that should be called out. If I was ranking people to trade traffic with, Booty would be one of my recommendations.

Did you guys not read my reply...? How do explain the messed up Hits In numbers and obviously the site rankings because of the Messedup numbers? Script error?....If so how do the numbers make sense to you guys if it is a script error?
Better hurry and take a look before it goes away ![]() |

But it's a margin of error that is not intentional. It is technology issue, not Booty trying to cheat. Also it works both ways. While my referral script only shows 851 in, he shows he has sent me 890. Margin of error on both sides. As I said, bottom line is I sent him traffic, he sent me traffic, we both profit regardless of the margin of error the technology creates in the system.
