Why gaming ad networks don't work well for me

I did a Google search for my site "kingdomarcade" and a bunch of traffic stats pages for my site came up right away. I always knew I had a lot of female visitors but after seeing this page http://www.quantcast.com/kingdomarcade.com/demographics I am finally understanding why my CTR always sucks.

I have tried all the gaming ad networks I could get into and they all gave me a low CTR under 1% and often under 0.4% or lower because they are mostly targeted towards males. Most of my visitors are girls. Now I have to rethink the networks I am using and get ads that females would like.

Anybody with a girls arcade know a good ad network to join?

how do you suppose they know a visitor is a 35 year old female that spit out a kid before getting a masters and now makes 75k a year?

in general arcades ctr rates are low unless they are image ads for other game sites or toolbar ads.

That is what I am saying. The ad networks that are gaming only (ie: image ads for arcades and MMORPGs) are the ones that have the worst CTR on my site. I have done great with girl stuff, like Zwinky, but never thought much of it.

I added a Girl Games category in January and it is getting plays like crazy. One girl game is now my sites most played game with over 15000 plays since February. That is 2x as much as my old top game. Not to mention most of my newsletter subscribers and members in the last few months have girly email addresses with words like, "cutie", "unicorn", "boiluver", etc.

As for how that site gets their demographics info. They are like alexa. They only track those that have their toolbar. They probably make you take a survey before installing it. They only counted like 5% or less of my monthly traffic.

You can try pnp or you could try my affiliate program. You could also try cpa offers like zwinky, etc.

You could try the FunKlicks 100x100 Girls Arcade channel and see if the female-targeted banners suit your audience better.

By the way, quantcast doesn't track based on toolbar. Their metrics are compiled from a variety of sources including isps, etc.

I was making some good money from NeverBlue's Zwinky ads ($50+/month) but I would often go days without and conversions and never knew if I would make payout for that month. I switched away from all CPA because it isn't guaranteed money. I somewhat consider CPC guaranteed because no matter the ad I am sure to get some clicks with my amount of traffic.

I would try that but I am trying to get more males to my site. I don't want to lose the females but If I had more males it would be easier for me to make more. Also lately I have been seeing weird stats from FK. On some days the average tome per visit is 0:00. And on most days my FK stats say I got 400+ clicks and my Google Analytics will say 60-300.

EDIT: Thanks Fahd. I thought getting that info from ISP was possible but wasn't sure so I went with the next best assumption.

How about good old adsense then? Its been a low earner for me though.

You could always try widgetbucks and use the Nintendo DS widget.

Besides adsense and neverblueads, I have not found much for girl game sites either.

I have always wanted to give Adsense a real try but they banned my 2.5 years ago. Back when I had 10 visits per day.

I also used to love Widget Bucks but now I get like 20c CPM and 0.001c CPC. No exaggeration. 12 Clicks and made $0.00 from 3 different categories including DS games.

I have just re added Intergi ads and have a bunch of ads in my rotation this time. I am also getting some good clicks because most of the CPC ads have pretty anime girls on them.
