For normal thumbnail displays I normally use 90 * 75, for featured thumbnails I normally pick a much larger size 120 * 90 or 150 * 120.
Most of my customers use 90 * 75 to fit the templates they are using. But I am seeing a big tread towards much larger thumbnails on some client sites. The 50 * 50 thumbs are falling away I think as templates are being created to lower the number of thumbs displayed on main page and use easier to see large thumbs. Still have the load time and bandwidth issues to watch out for on sites with tons of thumbs displayed on main page. |

I always shoot for 100x100 a good standard size and the images display good too if they were set smaller any size above it you'll have a slowish site for sure.
I do concur with ArcadeSiteBuilder's saying about the templates displaying lower thumbs and making them a good big size as the users like that and its easyer for them to use too. |
