Yea well i diden't want to say who i was transfering it too because its a competor kinda thing they just wanna keep everything with them. I Was attempting to transfer it away from them so when i do switch hosts as i might need one that doesn't cap CPU loads which i got already aka crissic.com. yea live support does try to make you look dumb but clearly they are clueless on whats being said very clearly...

and peter lol yea it was pritty nice all right one time i corrected a operator on spelling hostgator lmfao! even though he works for them sometimes i wonder who they hired... and glad to see your money back in order! =)

If you are serious about your business and earning money online then your web hosting should be the most important thing of all. If your web host is not that good then it will mean your site is not that good if it's down regularly. I prefer to pay a little extra for a host that has very good support rather than go the cheap root and find out that I have lost thousands of traffic, google search rankings, backlinks, etc. just because my sites down all the time or I keep having problems with my web host.

Hi Everyone,

I'm the owner of hostgator and I just read this beyond retarded chat. This employee is no longer with us due to reasons I can't speak of. Anyone we hire we put in 2-3 weeks of training which costs thousands per person to get trained. Unfortunately at the end of the day most people simply can't handle thinking on their own in this world. I do apologize for you having to deal with this level of stupidity!
Chat / phones are the lowest level of hostgator support. We hire anyone that has webmaster experience for these posistions and then try to train them to be more then the average webmaster. We cut people who have bad chat ratings that are given by customers. It can be kind of tricky keeping a balance of growing / handling the volume while cutting the weak. We hire almost every qualified admin that walks in the door so it's not even a matter of us being cheap. There truly is a shortage of knowledgeable admins in america!
I most likely won't be back here, but if anyone has any questions I can be reached at brent @ hostgator.com

Well, atleast they have been sacked!
Never used Hostgator before, but I was considering them, before I created my own host.

Holy crap that was the owner...?! lmao that was so un-expected?!

Hostgator doesn't suck for me at all its only the support im 100% failing to get to grips with at most times... Usally i just go along with it and try to explain in very detailed information but most times 9/10 they are seriously clueless...

stupidity is funny if you turn the convertion in the right direction lol

I give hostgator a thumbs up for hosting, I have a reseller account. Never had a problem, and I have asked a lot of questions through email and chat. Always fast always solve my problems.
Before I started hosting through Hostgator I hosted with an Australian company that cost me $30/month for 1/5 of what hostgator offers for the baby croc account (silly me for not shopping around)...
Seriously-
I recommend doing a search on the hosting company before signing up...check em out good and proper look for forum posts like this one. read reviews normally something will show up. don't just jump in

The guy should have just escalated the issue to a senior admin or put in a ticket for you. In future, you might want to mention that you want to transfer your DOMAIN to another REGISTRAR. Then maybe the guy might have googled or checked HGs support docs and got you what you needed. I would suggest you email support if you still need to get this issue resolved.
