It's like asking what's the relationship between your body and oxygen. Keywords are part of what go into the algorithm that decide what your site's PR is. It is only part though.

At least, that is my understanding of it all.

backlinks and nothing else determine your pagerank.
how many and where you have them has a lot of factors.

what your site/page pagerank is has nothing to do with keywords and the ranking in google.
raking with a certain keyword has different factors.one being how many links you have with that anchor and what pagerank they are on.having a link on a pr8 will give a lot more weight on that keyword then a pr1 would.

Obviously there is a relationship. Is it important. Not as much as it was I think. But it may get there again as Google tries to regain respect for Pagerank again.
