kicks out from share hosting plan

My hosting company kicks out from share hosting plan, anybody got same experience. Is the game site really use that much resource? My site not even use 1/10 of their Bandwidth. Cannot do anything now, need to wait them to setup vps.

An arcade can put a load on a server. It also depend on the arcade, some are better than others.

Are you getting a VPS? Can you PM me with details, I might be able to assist

Yep I was also "Kicked off my Shared Server"... They said I was using to many CPU Resources and others were complaining, besides all the RAM I was using...

I now have a Dedicated Server and it's having problems keeping up, I use around 80% of the RAM (1024)... This Sucks big time for sure... So I am looking at other Hosting Companies that will actually like to deal with Arcade sites...

I also wonder if the Host is artificially boosting up my stats so I have to pay more for the hosting...

I am having the same problems with my host, I have just bought a dedicated server here today to see if that can help my site to run better.

Just curios, how many uniques are you getting a day? I get between 2000 - 3000 uniques a day and I don't even put a dent in the shared server I'm on. I've also have had consecutive days between 5000 - 8000 a day and no complaints from my host.

some hosts, even though they say unlimeted....they will throttle back.
If you think arcades are hard on a server....stay away from a proxy script!

i only pay 5 dollars a month and i have over 50,000 pages view a month with no problem at all!!

All,
A badly coded arcade or any site for that matter, will kill a server. Also SQL not done or optimized will also.

I have my own servers and sell space/reseller/servers I have seen some crazy stats and loads due to bad coding.
I also had an account that had a code to check his email every 15 seconds...drove the server nuts

Nice Stats, how many "People Are Playing Games" at one time on your site? or are they just visitors?...

My problems seem to stem from to many games being loaded and played at the same time...
