About banner exchange question?

Hi,

I'm very new in game arcade site, I'm just thinking is there any benefit for a new to join all those big arcade banner exchanges?

I knew it will bring traffic to the site, but since mine is new and for the look and # of games on the site is still can't compare with other established arcade sites. If I join the banner network, the visitor come to my site and click on the banner go to other games site and properly won't come back to my site anymore.

What good that give to my site? may be I just don't understand some marketing stuff, could someone give me some idea how what the right way to bring a traffic to the new site without loss the visitors?

Well, your vistiors have got to go somewhere, so... I guess it would be better for them to leave by clicking an ad instead of typing it in directly... plus it would give you more impressions clicks and stuff...

Who says you have to run a banner? You can purchase impressions to drive traffic to your site. In the place of banners, run ads. Hopefully if they click on an ad, you get some $ and that can help subsidize buying more impression. Most banner exchanges out there have this option.
See how this sounds like an ad….LOL!!

This depends on whether the CPM from the ad network can balance the cost.
So what'll be the cost for the impressions in general?
