Smile Would like some Reviews

Launching a new flash arcade, and I'm trying to go a bit higher quality on this one.

Awesome Flash Games

I've been trying to fully optimize my site SEO-wise, and also have added a few things to try and speed it up like caching.

I'm trying to make this site a little more user-friendly and a little more of a fun experience for the user rather than just a money-maker. You can see my older arcade in my signature to get an idea on the improvement (if any).

Please post suggestions, comments, reviews, critiques, positive or negative!

Thanks,
RoboLlama

I really like the site. I believe you're using Wordpress? Do you mind telling me what theme you're using or how you edited it? :P If you're using WP, you're pretty much good with the SEO and don't have to worry.

I think everything looks good!

I like it so far. When I hover over the buttons to move next/previous of the featured game, it does have an unsmooth transition that I wonder is intended.

It's the evid theme from www.elegantthemes.com, Finally you guys are starting to see the light with WordPress as a an arcade solution...

It's funny, I toyed with the idea of building a new arcade with this theme but I found that the sliding header a la hulu.com doesn't work for an arcade. It's fine for movies though but there's something about all the space it uses up. The other thing that put me off were the description overlays on the thumbnails. You can hardly see the game images.

I like the clean factor of the design, I'd like to see a little more exposure of your thumbnails and I it were me I'd definitely consider removing that huge sliding header. It makes load times longer and again it doesn't really do it for game images.

Psh. Thanks for nothing. Giving away my secret Since you've ran a WP arcade before, any tips for me? Things I need to watch out for? Anything?

Anyways thanks for the kind words people, and keep these comments coming. I need to make sure it's working/looks as good as I can get it before I start adding content.

edit: Alright, since I like the sliding header I'm leaving that. However, I have made the thumbnails now more visible, and I think it looks better as a result. Thanks for your input sly5.

Advice for running a WordPress arcade?

Well you could read my spiel about the whole thing here. I cover most of the basics in that article.

Otherwise I'd recommend using the all-in-one SEO plugin if you're not already doing so as well as the super cache plugin (though I'm not sure the super cache will be hugely effective with flash embed components). I'd also recommend hooking your blog up to twitter and feeding all you new posts through tweets that invite people to play your games.

Well all that's left is the uber secret, the answer to instant success, but if I told you that I'd have to kill you.

Alright, I've made a few updates to the site.

I've enlarged the embed size to fully display more flash games.

I've also added in a "Play full-size" popup system in order to display games in their full sizes.

Anything else I need to add in?
