ye 1024x768 is too big ... and probably slow down the load time...

you could change the background to show just a brown color

or add :

this should or might help

I like the changes you made since we last talked. Very nice. The categories are very colorful which looks nice.

@archgame: thanks a lot for the help with the graphics. I've chopped my background image up and it's now down to 30kb, still more than I'd like but until I find a suitable replacement I'm rolling with it.

Sly i see you reduced the size... you could use the 100x100 i gave above to reduce 20kb (10kb file) not much but should help i guess...

but can i give you a suggestion just something of mine? :
I wouldnt use a image as a background... Try using this color code : #804000 it will reduce the file size...

Hey archgames, thanks for the advice. Appreciate your effort. I'm using your color scheme right now, check it out.

I can't say I'm a huge fan though. I like the 'grunge' feel of the original background, and after all the rest of the site was influenced by that background.

What do other people think?

The site looks great! It's a lot of fun to interact with. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see it with the previous background.

man that was too big... ANyway that is the bg before sly resized it... it isnt sly's actaull bg but it looked like it... Exactly like it .
