Interstitial Ads

Do you think these would be a good idea? It would be kind of like a before game ad which would only show once to a visitor. They would have the option to skip it...
I'm not really sure though, as it might be too annoying; even if it does only occur once and they are able to skip it.

Depends on who they're by but in general I'm not too fond of them.

- Adbrite's are horrible and I would say are an absolute no.
- Casalemedia's are not that bad at all and I've seen them on many arcades. Don't know if you have or can get an account with them though.
- Adversal just launched them but I haven't tested them anywhere yet. Can't wait until their CPM banner system is launched. I talked with the owner about it a long time ago and I know he'll make it a good option for general CPM banner seekers.

As a ps to that: You can setup your own management for them if you were so inclined and show whatever you wanted how ever you wanted as an Interstitial.

I wonder if I'm confusing VCM's for Casale's.

Do you have link to a site using VCM's?

I think they are a GREAT idea!

I almost put them on WGN, but I couldn't find a suitable network.

I do like how simple VCM's are and they load fast.

Huge turn off unless you really have a loyal audience. DeviantArt has been a long timer user of interstitial ads and that's actually what stopped me from joining that site. I know they disappear once you become a member but still...

i dont like it... but i dont think it will work well with arcades. I wouldnt go to a arcade with them on (no way ) when i can go on other sites where i can enjoy playing without them...
