Default How much do you earn?

Hi to everyone. I have a question. How much do you earn from arcade websites you own?
I earn around 35 Euro monthly from one car games site. Also how much Google Adsense pay for your clicks? For my click pak me 0.01 cent wich is very low.

My colleagues and I have been experimenting with various ad networks over the past year or so. I don't have any arcade sites—they are mostly online browser games—and AdSense usually pays the most at $0.15-$0.50 per click for banner ads (it always increases during the holidays, and then plummets in January).

Copacet did slightly better than AdSense head-to-head and had higher *potential* revenue than AdSense because it allowed 4 ad slots and a better revenue share, but alas, Google may have shut Copacet down last month. Hopefully we'll know soon—Copacet was great. (By the way, do any other banner ad networks use AdX? AdX is more flexible than AdSense and thus has higher potential revenue.)

Ad4game is performing significantly better than it did last year. Last year we were getting $0.03-$0.04 CPC, but now we're seeing $0.03-$0.15 CPC, which is pretty okay considering the post-December slump. Unfortunately, it varies wildly day-to-day for some reason. I've never seen that with any other ad network

For now, Ad4game is my favorite other than AdSense and Copacet. The ads are pretty good quality compared to many other networks whose ads download 250MB of stuff and perform 50 redirects, causing users to never return. Ad4game is currently my favorite ad network other than AdSense/Copacet

We also tried CPMOnly last year. If I recall, CPC was $0.15-$0.25 which was pretty competitive with other ad networks, but fill rate was only 33%. Many of the ads were resource-intensive, but they were very quick to remove offending ads. These guys seem picky about their publishers—you'll probably need a lot of tier 1 traffic.

We tried out GTBurst for a couple of days early this month. I think it has a ton of promise if they're successful. I was a bit disappointed by the $0.04 CPC since I was told by a colleague that US clicks are $0.10. But again, the trial was perhaps a couple of days, and I probably messed something up. Could also be the post-December blues. If anyone here has experience with GTBurst, please let me know. I have really high hopes for GTBurst and will be sure to keep watch.

We gave GameAds.net a try for a day. eCPMs seemed good compared to A4G, in theory. For some reason, the admin console showed ~66% fewer impressions than we get on other ad networks. I'm pretty sure traffic didn't suddenly drop by more than 66% on that day. I thought maybe they weren't able to fill 100%, so I added passback tags. The passbacks didn't show any impressions, so I don't know what's going on here. Again, this was one day. This is not a negative review, but I'm hoping others can lead me in the right direction. I plan to experiment with them again soon and hopefully discover what happened.

We're currently experimenting with ArcadeCPM. eCPMs so far are superb and even rival AdSense/Copacet... in theory. But so far, I'm having the same issue as I had with GameAds.net—impressions are down 66% from baseline. Just to be absolutely positive that impressions did not, in fact, suddenly drop 66%. In the mean time, any guidance would be appreciated. I think this network will be very promising if I can figure out what's going on.

I want to be clear that I'm not giving a negative review about GTBurst, GameAds.net, or ArcadeCPM. They all seem very promising to me. I'll be experimenting with all three over the coming months, and will be sure to update this post with new developments. The main reason I'm mentioning them so early is that I hope others can lead me in the right direction.

To give context, our websites are mostly browser-based online games with 50-85% US traffic and at least 75% tier 1 traffic. We usually have 1 top medium rectangle, 1 bottom medium rectangle, and 1 bottom leaderboard.

Just FYI; Ad4Game is CPA, rest are not, hence - daily difference. They actually pay up per conversion, so some days it may be higher, on others lower.

I had a feeling that was the case. Thanks!

clessg thank you so much for telling me your experience. My website is in Bulgarian (Tier 3) language. I guess from that is so low CPC.

The average is 1mil page views per month and 20k uniques.

Yeah, Bulgaria's average AdSense CPC is apparently $0.05, so that would probably explain the disappointing number. Revenue drops a lot after December, which doesn't help.

Hi there,

Let me shed some light on the impressions. Since we have some campaigns the pay for both impressions and clicks, we only count 200 impressions before a click is required to reset the counter. For example, if your ad slot received 500 impressions but no clicks, we will only count 200 impressions until you receive a click on the ad, thus resetting the counter.

So what does this mean? Publishers get paid for every single click they send, period (as long as its real traffic and IPs are not repeated). Advertisers paying for impressions are protected as to not have less than 0.5% CTR on the ad spots (some publishers use popunder traffic which could send lots of impressions but no clicks for the advertisers).

Bottom line - if the income beats our competitors, you should definitely give us another go.

Let me know if you have any other questions, I am available on Skype or by PM.

Thanks!
