Default Approached by Advertisers need advice

Hi,

I was approached by some advertisers that were interested in advertising on my site. They asked what type of advertising options I offer. The thing is, I don't, I just do adsense. So I was wondering whats a good way based on traffic, etc... to figure out what I would charge someone if they wanted to advertise on my site.

I'm going to ask them first though what type of advertising are they interested in doing, banners, text, etc...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

I was also approached by them a few days ago but ended up turning them down in the end.

They made a fair offer eventually and seem very legitimate.

Your email responses with them will be timely so you'll have something worked out soon.

Regards,

Many advertisers are comfortable with CPM or monthly pricing.

CPM is cost per thousand impressions. It's tricky to be precise here, without some type of ad serving software on your site.

The easiest is to providing a monthly pricing cost. No guesswork here. But the issue you may still have is what is a fair price. The answer depends on how much traffic you have. If you know your daily pageviews, then you can work out a CPM estimate from your monthly price.

As a stupidly simple example, if you get 1,000 pageviews a month, and charge $1.00 a month, that would be $1.00/CPM.

Or, if you get 10,000 pageviews a month, and charge $1.00 a month that would be $0.10/CPM.

Or, if you get 10,000 pageviews a month, and charge $5.00 a month that would be $0.50/CPM.
