Unfortunately there are more than a few bad apples out there who think that they are entitled to rip you off. How you ask? When you participate in a banner exchange you want a fair trade of traffic. You certainly don't want fake clicks and hollow impressions. But when cheaters are able to infest an exchange they bring down to quality of traffic because they look for ways to exploit the system and get more out than they put in. When this happens the admins that play by the rules lose, and it's not fair, and as admin for FunKlicks I am not going to allow that to happen.
FunKlicks works to protect member's day after day. And if you've never run an exchange, believe me it can be a job with no holidays. The good news for FunKlicks members is that we offer a multilayered defense against funny business. And although I'm checking things out with customized graphs constantly, it is our software that is the front-line 24-hours a day protection that you can trust. When I first started FunKlicks the software had little to no cheating protection, and very often on my manual review I would find a cheater attempting to rob FunKlicks and our members. So, I would formulate a way that the software could provide automatic detection and defense against the exploit. These days, virtually all cheating is stopped before it even has a chance to happen, and in some cases, when cheating tolerances are triggered, the software is smart enough to effectively go back and retroactively remove what few gains they might have been able to eek out before they were automatically busted. Just recently, a cheater attempted to defraud FunKlicks and members on a massive scale. The fed over 50,000 fake clicks from addresses in China and Korea, but the system threw out more than 99.99% of these clicks, so they earned virtually nothing. Since this caused their CTR to crash, the system put impressions sent to them in a sort of quarantine state, so that it didn't waste other members earned impressions. Even with the amazing levels of custom protection that we offer, I'm still not satisfied. I will continue to refine our anti-cheating technology. And even if FunKlicks is 100% secure, I'm not happy to see my members experience losses on other exchanges, so I work with other banner exchange admins to report cheaters as well to stop them from cheating anywhere. Thanks for working with us, and making FunKlicks one of the top arcade banner exchanges in the world! |

Hey Spencer.
I took a look at the system and your account with respect to 125's to see what's up. There may be a slight lowering of CTR overall, but when I checked your account (for arcadegangsta) I saw a few things that could be improved, and hopefully these tips will be useful to you and others. First thing was that your individual banner stats had not been reset in many many months. I recommend that members reset the stats for each of their active banners occasionally, so they can see how the banner is doing lately. This is even more important when you change banners, otherwise the stats get mixed between the two banner images, and it is harder to see if the new banner is better or not. So, I reset your banner stats to get a better look. After reseting and letting them run for a little while, I could see that your 3rd banner is getting at least double the CTR of your 1st banner. It's a little early to say, but you might want to consider using the 3rd banner for all 3 banner slots. If the statistics hold out, you could be getting 50% more clicks this way. And over time that is a lot of clicks! It's easy to see that a 50% increase is a big deal, especially when you are wishing that you were getting a better CTR. For benefit of everyone, I'll say that experimenting with your banners can make a HUGE difference in your results. I try to help out accounts that need it, but we have hundreds of accounts and I can't get to them all, so this is why it can benefit members to experiment with their account. One final point is that banners that were good one day, may slowly start to lose their appeal, so banner management is something that occasionally needs new attention. Seems to me that you've come up with some of the better 125x125 banners that I've seen, so you are to be congratulated on that, but there is usually a little room for improvement to squeeze a some extra clicks out of the system. Thanks. |

Hey!
Could you please tell me the names and the sites of the cheaters? Games Banner Network has a base of chaters and blocks them hip and thigh! The GBN system has the analyser that tracks the traffic and shifts off all of the proxy and other cheaters traffic. So that the users are 100% defended. The only thing that we should help each other to keep the chaters away from our services. Could you pleace name the cheater. Via PM or mail... Thanks a lot!
