PHPAS Review

I started out wanting GSS. I wanted it a lot. The layout reminded me of Miniclip.com and it made me want to make a website exactly like Miniclip.com. The price is what hit me. It was $90, and that didn't even include any games. I didn't have that type of money and I know I wasn't going to get that in a while, so I decided to look for an alternative. I found PHPAS, and saw that it included 150 games, and the price was $30. I coudl afford that. I went and bought it. I received the script instantly through email. I then joined the forum and got my account upgraded so I could access mods, and other things. The community was very nice and so were the mods. I even bought a template and it was a really nice guy who sold it to me. The whole thing was amazing. I would go and buy PHPAS again if I had the money.

I started out useing gamescript, was a good script at the beginning, the best. Then it went bad, website offline for months, and no support. When it came back, the owner had gone, and the script had been encoded.

After talking to "Scott" the owner of "PHPArcadeScript" he must have felt sorry for me, and gave me the script for free. Later I sold my templateing services, to other people useing phpas and transfered the cost of the script to scott. Therefore paying for it.

I have also won "member of the year" under username NuWeb. The script is great, the members are ok, and the coder scott is great.

Recomend it to everyone.

The install is certainly easy. Skinning it can be a little tricky, but no problem for experienced webmasters. I'm going to be trying the newest version of the script soon, lots of handy new features in there like more stats and game hotlink protection, just waiting for the next subrelease.

I use version 3.0 of the script on my site and really like it, easy to use admin area and has great support the forums.

I started my first arcade with gamescript.
I had been coding for 2 years, and i found it hard as hell to get my template right. It's not because i'm a bad coder, it's because the template system is reall bad. I've managed to code 3 templates for it, but i hate it.

I decided to start another arcade after selling that one. I wanted something that was easy to customize, and had nice futures. If you check my arcade, you won't belive it's phpAS. It just looks hot and unique, and all the futures are there. I managed to convert all tables in css, wich would never have been possible with gamescript.

phpAS is a great script!

I made a big mistake on not using it on my newest arcade ...

I love phpAS. I've used it for 4 of my arcades now. I am considering picking up a copy of gamescript just to convert my forum modification bridge for it, but have heard it's encoded, but I messaged a admin and they said "all of our scripts are unencoded" so I dunno :S lol.
