My little keyword experiment
So, after doing some keyword research for the popular keyword "Free games". I've decided to do an little experiment that may or may not net me a bit of cash. I've just bought www.freegamesplayers.com and I'm going to target the keyword "Free games". The #1 result for that on google is only PR5 and the #2 result is PR4. Since I own a PR6 site, 2 PR5 sites and a PR3 site(that is just there to feed me PR), I can generate a PR5 site within 1 update(like I did with fncgamesblog.com). I'll just be using "Free games" as my anchor text everywhere. and see how it goes. I'll tell you guys results.
This site will be a traffic trading site by the ways.

Dude, I just bought it 2 minutes ago, just changed the DNS. There isn't actually a site there yet.

But that experiment your doing may infact be true as i recently linked to a PR6 which got me to jump from the 11th to 1st page on google search... I may or may not be the PR but good luck if you do find anything about it. |

While I know that this is a popular 2 word phrase for many arcades to target. I know from other niches that often sites with the Keyword FREE are filtered out by more savy advertising consumers. The reasoning is that patrons of said site are not looking to make a purchasing decision rather they are looking to get free content of some sort. I am interested to see how this turns out however as nothing is set in stone or the Gospel on the Internet.

No, the PR can be done, just like it was for fncgamesblog.com but the keyword will take quite a bit of time. It much more than a month to get it. This is a long-term project. However, the instant PR will help.

It's not going to be as easy as you think ArchBob,
This is also the keyword I've started targetting with my new site www.free-games.net however unfortunately for me, we seem to be in the 'sandbox' if I could call it that. It's not about PageRank at the end of the day its about backlinks with the correct anchor text on the right sites. Also theirs other factors such as site authority and age and others that I couldn't list all here, net-games and miniclip are going to be tough cookies to over run, however I think hitting page one itself is pretty do-able. So I guess the race is on mate! see you at page one

Miniclip is also older than net-games. You really need to drop the pagerank thing.
