Default best method to advertise

Can anyone recommend any good advertisers that have been successful in sending quality traffic? Are banner banner exchanges the way to advertise an arcade site and if so what would you'll recommend as being the best?

Google Adwords can be good
Banner Exchanges can work also
Also buying from other websites that sell can be good.

There are lots of paid ways of obtaining more traffic.

Try purchasing 1000 clicks from several different banner exchanges and compare to see which one brings you the best quality. I would also try this with Adwords and similar advertising agencies and then decide.

LearnNewbie: haha, yeah or I can have my own forum, be a hypocrite, and spam the message boards with "stop spamming" requests instead of sending the user a pm when a user is suspected of spamming (I've seen that happen on other boards).

smithscomputers: preferrably, it would be really helpful to get other users' opinions so that I don't pay for a banner exchange that sends relatively less quality traffic compared to the traffic given by other banner exchanges. A smart man learns from his mistakes.... an even smarter man learns from the mistakes of others.

Well lets see if I cant start a war... lol

I will always be the one who goes out and tries it for myself, and if its great? Well you can find out for yourself. Because I am not going to tell anyone when I have a cash cow on hand. There are a couple banner exchanges on that no one raves about that I get decent results from, and one or two that people rave about I cant get anything to work. The ones that I like get lots of my cash. Of course my definition of lots of cash may vary from yours.

Also what may bring horrible results to one arcade, may bring awesome results to another. So it is always good to experiment in small quantities like smithscomputers said. If your buying traffic and 10 bucks is going to make or break you for that month, you may want to think up another niche other than arcades.

So spend a few bucks here and there, and if you find something that works buy some more, if it doesn;t dont buy from that source again. Thats all you really can do in the end, is keep trying. When you quit trying you fail.

Wow, that totally makes sense. I doubt anyone can give better advice than that. I seem to have forgotten that much of getting quality traffic on a paid banner exchange depends on many variables not limited to:
1. the banners that you have
2. the quality of the site the banner links to
3. the opinion of your visitors (total chance)

You can always find good traffic deals at places like adengage or adtoll if you take a good look at the stats provided and look at the sites you are advertising on. With a good image optimized for CTR along with a advertising package on a site with a low price on CTR, you can get some traffic for a great price. It does take some work looking through the sites listed to find good deals. Some of the sites that offer a large amount of clicks are overpriced, especially at adtoll.

Yeah evilfurby your site flash rehab is sending me some good traffic at a very reasonable rate from adtoll.

There are bargains to be had, even on adtoll and adengage. I have gotten lucky several times on adengage trying out new sites and recieved a good amount of clicks from a few for much less than 1 cent. You cant win if you don't play though!

You guys are rich I have not spent a dime on traffic yet this month. I really try to not over spend in this niche right now. I think if you have a good formula you should be able to capture 15 - 30% ROI on your advertising purchases. I have day traded before and made 30% in a day so those numbers are hard for me to wrap my mind around.

I mostly agree with Gamehopper you do have to experiment. When I buy and this is not the Gospel but in the last year I tried alot of stuff

1. Funklicks: My favorite hands down I can't say enough about their traffic and how consistent the quality is
2. Mibbi: Quality again and GREAT Customer service
3. Adengage: You have to learn to read the stats and look at a site and see when it is setup to send good traffic. Hint because Gamehopper has such a site he can look at a site and recognize the text book signs very well I am sure. Ken of Bootyarcade can do the same ( they have good eyes ) and My eye is OK now but it took me time for them it seemed to be a natural talent. I got a good ear though and been recording and playing for more than 20 years LOL.
4. Adwords if you know how to work their system

That is not everything but some good guys to look at.
Avoid
arcadebanners.com
IMO and I used to be a regular customer of theirs.

Iv done a few ad campaigns with adtoll and they work, later i might change the way i advertise with astoll, for $20 i get 2020 but iv found i can get 4000 for $20 buy changing one or two things.

google traffic is always the best, try to get a few smaller keywords and not for the big ones that will take years to get. banner exchanges dint work for me so i cant really comment on them.
