Hello All,
I want the old arcade site owners to share some tip for the rest of us here. My site www.freearcadeonline.org is quite new here. Based on arcadem pro it has about 4000 games to start off from. I wanted some help on getting traffic to the site. Here is what i have used - Adwords. I am able to get 0.01 for a click to my site but mostly it is non US traffic. now the problem with it is i can get as much traffic as i can (NON US) for this rate which is the lowest on earth But on adsense i get a return of about 20 to 30% on it For example on a 1$ spend I get back .2 on it. Is there a way to get some good publisher program that can bring me back the 1$ i have spent or atleast 80% back so that i can continue pay for traffic. Remember 0.01 is for NON US traffic. Please advise. Many Thanks |

How many pageviews per visitor are you getting? Are you sending them to your homepage or directly to a game?
Lets say you pay for 1,000 ($10.00) visitors and each visitor does an average of 3 pages per visit. That means your website does 3,000 pageviews per day. To earn back your investment you need to earn around $3.33cpm. Now going by your estimates, if you are earning 1/5th of a 1cent per visitor, your AdSense CPM would be running around: $0.66 (66 cents) I know it seems like I'm rambling here with numbers, but first off I would try to up your eCPM with AdSense. Many of my arcades currently are averaging over $2.00 eCPM (some around $5.00 eCPM) and its because of ad placement. I'd suggest removing the 728 at the bottom of your website. I highly doubt that ad placement gets a lot of clicks. Secondly on your game play page, move the 468 from above the game to right below the game and have very little white space between the game and that ad. Make the 468 a TEXT AD and then under the 468 place two 300x250 IMAGE ADS. IF you run into problems since I know you have the ADSENSE in the right column, you could remove the 468 on the game page, make the LEFT 300x250 TEXT ADS and the right 300x250 IMAGE ads. I do believe that this should at lesat double your eCPM or even more. EXAMPLE ... Yesterday one of my arcades that does the 468 below the game and then 2 300x250s below that had close to 4% CTR and earned well over $2.00 eCPM. I had another one (less traffic) that did close to 2% CTR but had over $5.00 eCPM.

enTraffic , I'm going to take your advice and try to implement it into PinkyArcade.com . The only problem is the script is very complex and it's quite difficult for me to move things around. Do you think your tip will work for PinkyArcade?
Thanks!

For some reason google hates arcades
. Not really there cpc just sucks. I highly recommend value click media. ( as your publisher, not your advertiser ) and I would use something like Mibbi, to generate your traffic. I also do not recommend you bombarding visitors with advertisments either. One pop up per day is good enough trust me on this. If user think there getting suckered they will not return. ( unless its forced. ) pop under advertisments in my expierence made me the most money it had about a 15% ctr with about 0.50 per click and I was showing about 1,000,000 page impressions a month good times, good times. But anyways. more question just pm me.
