Default 40% CTR at FunKlicks.com

I waited over a day to purchase some advertising credits from FunKlicks.com. Finally today I was able to buy some. Within about 10 minutes my 125x125 banner had a 40% CTR. For the CTR rating it says "(Excessive, Flagged for review.)" My 100x100 ad is also climbing and is now at 5.2%. I am going to see if this keeps up and if it does I am transferring all of my remaining credits to the 125x125 ad. I also hope they don't take it down because it looks like I finally found my ticket to tons of cheap traffic. Also I would like to point out to the admin/staff at FunKlicks.com that I am not cheating. The ads are animated GIFs that match my sites design with the words "Click to play".

Glad you are liking your advertising!

That 40% you were getting at first won't last, but the 125x125 banners do very well, typically around 10% to 15% CTR for both publishers and advertisers. Looks like your banner has settled into that range now. The only issue is the volume isn't as large as our 100x100 Arcade exchange.

I don't know of any arcade banner exchange anywhere that performs this well, so I highly recommend it as an option for publishers.

That is an impressive statement 40% or even 10%. Did you happen to see how sticky the traffic was?

Ya it's a bummer that it doesn't last very long. If that small of an increase in size improves CTR so much I wonder how I could do with a 200x200 CPM campaign at ValueClick Media or AdBrite.

Its not size thats improving CTR here. Its the ad placements. Most that have adopted the 125x125 size from funklicks are large publishers who have ad codes above the fold.

I would say it's a combination of both. Top of fold placement always tends to improve CTR, but the 125x125 size stands out a bit more, and there are some really nice banners only on this size as well.

My 125x125 ad went down to 7.5% so I tested a different 100x100 banner and it is averaging 9%. I took back all of my unused credits and put them onto the new banner. I also bought $10 more credits. I am thinking of doing this every day. So to AcadeJunky, thank god you run such a great service.

Thanks, glad you are liking the advertising. But our advertising is so popular I've had to limit it, so grab available credits when they are available in your account area.

Your should experiment a little more with your banners, as I'm sure you could do even better than 9%.
