Hello - I am pretty new to the arcade world so am struggling to learn as I go here.
I am looking to buy some traffic. I have tried a bunch of different avenues - a few different banner exchanges, facebook ads, google ads, microsoft adcenter, funpageexchange, etc to try to get some targetted traffic and have been *okay* with the results, but i am hoping that there is something that I am missing since I've not been overly impressed. So - I guess I'm just hoping for all of your opinions/guidance on what you have used before and what works good for you. Any help would be appreciated!

Funny you should ask this right now I was about to post this as its own thread, but I will post it here instead as it fits well with the topic.
I recently had a bad experience purchasing traffic at http://funpageexchange.com I complained and the owner surprisingly emailed back and wanted to work with me. The problem was I purchased 5000 clicks, and Google only showed 500 or so. After working with the owner for about a week, we got it to the point I could verify the hits. Now all the traffic coming from funpageexchange is a lot better. The cheaters have been ousted, and the traffic is inexpensive and has been good for my sites. The delivery slowed down from 1500 hits a day, down to 350 a day, but the traffic quality jumped up dramatically. I had previously in another thread denounced this site as trash, but now I think it is good. Thats is my referral link up there, you don't have to use it, but it would be nice if you did. I dont post many referral links and spam up here, and I would never reccomend it if I did not think it was good traffic. A few other places I like the traffic from... Funklicks.com... price varies with email bid system, great traffic Mibbi.com... from .40 cents CPM (slow delivery) Onads.com... the best 1 cent clicks around ArcadeBonus.com... Can't wait till this one gets bigger... top quality traffic (slow delivery but growing fast) Adengage,com... shop around for good deals on weekly ads... look for underpriced sites delivering clicks from 1-2 cents. There are plenty. I get good stat tracking results from the above sites...Below are places I have had so so tracking results from, but still buy from occasionally Adsplz.com or gamersbanner.net... hard to track results but delivers quality traffic arcadeaffiliate.com ... I think they are doing some site work, some customer service issues where slow, traffic tracks about half from arcadeaffiliate, and half from the source sites, but you get the traffic. Adtoll.com you can find a few good sites to advertise on there, I find it a little too expensive for my tastes. Looks like my last booking is going to end at 6 cents a click. I just got a test package from Arcadefocus.com... I hear it is good I will post in that thread. For my own purposes since I don't sell anything I find Adwords and Yahoo to expensive, but if you can afford it you can get massive traffic in a hurry. Thats all I have had experience with. Good luck in your quest for cheap quality traffic! I am always searching. |

Thanks for the great info!
I can't use your ref link for funpageexchange as I already have an account with them (and like you, pretty much wrote them off as garbage) Maybe I'll give them another try if you think that they have cleaned things up a bit - thanks! I have heard about arcadebonus a few times, and I think I'll sign up and give them a try - if you have a ref link for them, I would be happy to use it. thanks again

Adwords is the best in terms of quality (bounce rates of only 17%), speed ($100+/day) and price ($0.01 CPC)!
But you're going to have to do some keyword research and target content sites to get low CPCs.

yup, adwords are great, but to get it down to $0.01 you gotta know the system pretty well
I can vouch for onads.com myself being a great $0.01 per click network (and the more accurate your ad is, the less bounce rate you get with onads. The superfast flashing "everybody got one" ads I don't think will do very well here) |

I have now tried adwords twice, I had ads with very high ctr for low volume keywords. Just like they say they want. One day for a two word low volume keyword in which I had a 3.5%ctr I got a message that I would have to bid 2 bucks, so I pulled it. I had a huge list of keywords. I never got anything to hit below 4 cents and the average was 5 cents. If Iowered the bidding I got 0 hits.
Now this was last year. So maybe it has changed. Maybe I gave up to soon, maybe I just never learned all the secrets. IN my opinion if you have to work the system that hard, its not worth it. So I gave up... Maybe I'll get lessons from someone someday (hint hint) LOL |

I've used OnAds, and I probably made my money back with them, the visits were pretty good quality. I am also starting to try adtoll, will let you know how that works out. Don't buy random $14 skyscraper ads on sitepoint though, they are useless.
