HostGator Review needed!
I need a review on host gator... Because my current hosting's shared server crash (in DC) and then i lost all my files and stuff im planning on buying hostgators baby plan
I have a few questions: Is it good for arcades? Can i make a banner exchange site on it? and what do you think abou it?

HostGator are good for arcade and gaming sites as they don't lash out at you for little things like many sometimes do. Uptime for me has been amazing i can say 100% as i haven't seen it go down for me at all.
I Spoke with the owner a few times Brent is really a awesome guy he'll deal with things amazingly. Banner Exchanges are not allowed on HostGators servers weather it be shared, VPS, Reseller or Dedicated they don't accept them due to previous history issues. So consider a other cheap but powerful alterative to them instead of hostgator. I use my friends server as i can trust him with alot of things even though he gets wasted and basicly a pimp almost hahaha! lol...

Beware DMCA, Support can only offer so much help however other than that I thought the servers were very reliable. However understand that they are a reseller and the servers belong to the planet so in complicated issues they will only be able to offer limited assistance. Good luck with finding a good place to host your site and sorry to hear of loss of data because that is really a pain.
