but like Peter I'd also like to know about duplicates.

Do you have an arcade where your game pack is running? Or at the very least a list of games?

Also, I fail to see how an install could be executed in under 10 seconds when 7000 flash games at an average of 500kb each means uploading around 3.5 GB to your server. Even with a dedicated server powered by God you wouldn't be able to install that in under 10 seconds!

Nope, I cancelled the sale

There may be a few. I wrote a script to check for duplicate titles, so that should have got the bulk of the duplicate games. You may run into duplicates like "A.L.I.A.S 2" and "ALIAS 2" though. (although that might help for your SE traffic, haha)

If you don't get at least 7000 unique games I'll give you your money back + $10.00.

Haha sly5, thanks for that, I was only thinking of the SQL, not the uploading. You're right, 10 seconds is definitely a gross exaggeration of the ease of install. I'll fix that tomorrow when I wake up, since it's 3:45 AM here.

I'll also get a demo 25% of the pack up and running tomorrow (if I put it all up, someone will just scrape it) - if you want a list of game titles I'll have that up tomorrow as well.

ArchGames,

I have exclusive rights to sell this pack. Some of the games are definitely in other packs, so if you already have 1000 games on your arcade, it's likely that at least a few hundred of those will be duplicates of what is in this pack.

I created the pack by adding some of the games myself, buying rights to sell a few other packs that were posted for sale (I did quite a bit of modifying and clean up work), paying freelancers to do some entries, etc, buying exclusive rights to some small packages before they were posted for sale online, etc.

The games are taken from freely available sources around the net. You're not buying the games, you're paying for the effort to collect them, associate thumbnail images, and build SQL files with descriptions and titles.
