Automated updating service?

I just found something that I intend to try soon. Has anybody tried them? It's a service to automaticaly add games to your site for you. Yes, the link is an affiliate link, so sue me. If you want to check it out without the affiliate ID, just drop the end

I would hold off on that as this idea was ripped from AWM and I'd really like to know who leaked our idea. We have had something like this in development for a few months and only a few people knew about it. Wait for the service from AWM as it will costs less and include LOTS of better features that I wont be disclosing now for obvious reasons. Not only that but you will be getting the service from a trusted name in the arcade industry. We still needed a few weeks to finalize our system and now we are gonna put it on a rush status to try to push out the competition.

OK, I guess that explains what happened to the thread on AWM.

Hmmmm, my apologies Thinkarcade, I had no idea. It sounds like a very good idea, wish I had thought of it lol. Do you know who owns the the site? That might give you an idea of who leaked it.

Roughly when do you think yours will be ready?

The guy goes by Wei in his emails. I think he is dragonhawk on sitepoint. Owner of shockarcade/shockscript and several other properties.

I now have this running on FadPlay.com - Free Online Games

The code he sent me did not work out of the box. I had to make a few small changes.

Heh...technically, I could modify the script and run it manually to copy all his games in the database in one shot instead of paying $20 a month. But I guess I'll be nice!

Lol yeah it is a script. I don't see anyone manually doing this for 20 bucks a month. It takes care of duplicates by querying the games table before doing insertions.
