[MOD] Custom Avatar

This has been posted in the AVScripts Forum for a few days now but thought I'd post it here too as some people don't read those forums.

It was first mentioned in this thread that instead of users uploading avatars, they should be able to customise a character. I liked this idea and started work on a mod for it.

I have now finished work on the mod and it is time to welcome the Custom Avatar Mod V.1

Custom Avatar Mod allows users to customise their own avatar with a choice of gender, hair colour, eye colour and skin colour. The combinations in this package allow for 72 different avatars to be created.

This mod as a new section to register form where new users have to customise their avatar. Existing users can customise their avatar through the edit profile page. One important thing to note when using this mod is that it removes the ability to of users to upload their own avatar; they must have an avatar created through this mod.

To allow for seamless changing and customisation of the avatar, this mod uses AJAX to quickly reload a small section of the register (or edit profile page).

Installation is relatively simple, although some experience of modding an AV Arcade site is preferable.

This mod is also compatible with users that sign up with their Facebook accounts. This means that instead of using their Facebook profile image, they have to customise an avatar.

Whilst I cannot stop you from using this mod on multiple sites, I ask you to be fair and honest. If you really like the mod and use it on several websites, please consider purchasing a second or third copy.

If you would like this script to be customised for your site, please contact me as I am happy to do so, for a small fee.

Note: Only compatible with AV Pro 5.4.4 (so far)

Hi, nice mod

A good upgrade could be a library of 10 - 20 characters to pick from

and then customize it.
