Thumbs up $1800 / mo website - Biketitans.com for sale

I'm selling one of my websites: www.biketitans.com

It makes around $1800 / month, has an average of 10.000 visitors a day and I will work closely with the buyer to keep it where it is or, better yet, make it bigger. Here are some more stats:

URL: http://www.biketitans.com
Status: Fully Developed Website
Daily Vistors: 10,000 (daily)
Page Views: 35,000 (daily)
Income: $1,800.00 per month
Expenses: $50.00 per month
Asking Price: $15,000.00

Online bike racing games are at a peak of popularity and BikeTitans.com has it all. Although quite new this is an established website with several large traffic trades going on.

Upon purchase I will also keep th new owner as a traffic trade partner and provide instructions on how to actively promote the site. You also get 2 free games with the site, excellent for viral flash game marketing. As a bonus I will also offer another arcade website for free - www.pimp-play.com (generates around $300 / month). You'll get answers to all questions, earnings screenshots and access to my Google Analytics account to monitor traffic.

Reason for selling: I am focusing all my marketing energy on 3 other games websites, each targeting a different segment. I also own www.cartitans.com which is targeting the same type of visitors as biketitans, so there's no point for me in having both websites.

All traffic is organic, there's no paid traffic. The site has room for plenty of expansions, so take it away from me and make it bigger

Drop me an email at cartitans99@yahoo.com and we can discuss more details.

Thanks!

Michael

15k for a 5 month site?

lets look at that...
there was a huge spike in alexa in january soon after the site was made.organic?i'm thinking not.
yahoo says there is like 3000 backlinks.
out of the few backlinks, you have bike games as an anchor.
being on the first page for bike games on google, does it bring thousands of visitors to your site.
again,i'm thinking not.

Very interesting offer koalafun and I wish I had the cash to buy it. You might also want to post on DP & Sitepoint and dnforum if you have not already. 2grand when he says all traffic is organic I think he is referring to it being referral,Direct and search engine traffic not purchased advertising therefore it is organic. I don't think he was just saying all the traffic came from organic search results. I know the site is young and that is the only thing I would be concerned about. However I watched koalafun grow car titans at a very fast rate. Sounds like a interesting offer for someone with the cash.

@ 2GrandArcade - I like your logic, but you're wrong The traffic spike comes from clever marketing, not paid traffic. Anyone interested in the site will see this from the Google Analytics reports. When I say "organic" traffic I refer to visitors coming from trades, SEO and viral marketing. I'm also sending traffic from cartitans.com and receiving back over 1500 visitors per day from biketitans to cartitans. And finally, why would I claim something that can't be proved?

If there's someone interested in the site please email me or PM me.

Thanks!

Hi,

Just to clairify.

A link trade is not organic and should not be defined as organic traffic.

Organic traffic is:

- Search
- Direct traffic from returning visitors
- Word of mouth
- Links to your site that people have posted here and there without being asked to do so.

Good luck with the sale though!

Ok, my bad! The idea is that I'm not paying for the traffic

Thanks!

I am sorry but it has always been my understanding that traffic not purchased is indeed organic.

Wikipedia:
Web traffic which comes from unpaid listing at search engines or directories is commonly known as "organic" traffic. Organic traffic can be generated or increased by including the web site in directories (such as Yahoo! and DMOZ), search engines (such as Google and Inktomi), guides (such as yellow pages and restaurant guides) and award sites.

I fail to see how if koalafun's traffic is generated via links on someone elses site that are unpaid is disqualified from being organic. A Dmoz listing is surely requested and to be honest in many cases a paid listing under the table. Let me tell you what I see in the arcade industry and it is starting to tick me off. I got a small site it does not make $1800/ Mo but I can still respect when someone makes a genuine offer in a forum without turning it into a " lets pick this guy apart fest". Geesh the guy is making a sales offer and not looking for a play on symantecs.

That is right, it is a great offer, but, I am sorry, it is not a question of cash... it is more a question of time... a good site needs more than 5 mn on it every day !!!

But, if you want to start on the business of arcade sites, that is a very good site to begin.

Well, to be truly organic means you did absolutely nothing to gain that visit. Link exchanges usually requires work. Which that makes it not organic. Now if someone linked to you out the kindness of there heart that means that it is indeed organic. You grew a friendship. You can kind of think of it like a organic garden the only thing you but in is the seed and water. But if you where to but chemicals in becomes not organic, and the chemicals are the (work/money) that you put into it to gain that extra edge.
