I think the novelty factor wares off after the first play, yes its unique and looks okay but it isn't really necessary so it just clutters up your arcade and at over 20kB it is one of the larger elements on your website making it slower at loading. Also it affects other elements like how you have to fit games inside that space and how it has affected your ad placement.
