Ok I know the title of this thread sounds like something you'd expect to find in your email spam folder but bear with me while I spin the yarn...

I've been experimenting with google ads recently, ad placement, size, graphic/text, colors etc

Generally speaking, I've noticed quite a few google ad server time outs, I've also noticed that some of my pages will hang for around 10 seconds before the ad server finally loads the ad and the rest of my site loads.

Is this something that happens to everyone else or have I just configured my ads like a numb nut?

What are the most viable ad network alternatives to Google ads both in terms of click through rates and speed of ad service?
