yes link trading has become almost an impenetrable moronic endeavor these days. One minute you believe you've built a good trade and the next it has either died on the other end for belief that traffic is only reason to make trade, or it has turned into a worthless PR trade because of some new javascript delivery system the other webmaster has been unwittingly convinced was important to implement, or it has turned into some sort down right scam. Heck, I did a trade last month with a site a few hours they had registered 2,000 hits. First day totals above 5,000 hits.... looked great until you I looked at Awstats couldn't even give them credit for 50 true hits... needless to say I paid them a visit... Now I am seeing worthless trade offers everyday it's to the point that throwing them all to the trash heap is just best SOP
The list is endless...... and looks to have just about destroyed link building in general IMO ....
