Welcome to the forums John.
1) I use onArcade, MAGS, GS v1, ASCMS, and a self written script. Right now, with my limited budget, I have to use shared hosting so my favorite is onArcade because of the SQL caching it offers even though I helped develop MAGS lol.
2) Most of what I use is Adsense, mostly because of a lack of time to experiment with others. If you own 15 different arcades, all 15 would be different and would probably do better with different advertising. The thing to do is play with it to figure out what works for each.
