The irony in all of this is that anyone with real traffic, has quality traffic... we're all sharing the same user base of kids playing arcade games. As long as you're not cheating clicks or whatever, your traffic is ok.
What makes the difference in perceived 'quality' most of the time has only to do with the layouts of the two sites involved.
For example, I know that some partners of mine get traffic that converts to 4-5+ pv/visitor and I know other sites that get less than 2pv/visitor out of the same traffic.
When a poorly designed site sends traffic to a well designed, visually pleasing site, the better looking site will get great stats from the traffic flowing in from the second site. Vice versa as well... There are other factors as well... typically, dark themed sites bounce high to light themed sites and vice versa.
There are exceptions always. Another big ingredient to the perceived quality is how you send the traffic and where you point it to... typically, traffic directed to the homepage of a site will result in higher pages/visit than traffic sent to game pages directly as a plug. Also, if you're sending traffic to a site like BallerArcade, a banner that is racing related will result in better quality traffic since his site is all racing games basically.
If you link to him with a porno banner, he'll get lots of traffic, but people who clicked the banner are looking for something that isn't on his site...
There's a bit mroe that goes into it, but that ends todays lesson.
Bottom line, we all have the same types of people accessing our sites, and the quality of our traffic is essentially the same as far as the visitors themselves go. It's all the other factors that go into how well a user converts when they hit your site.
Hitsfree - you just seem to be here to be annoying - why don't you spend the extra time you spend posting, working on building up your arcade. You'll find the return on your investment to be much more rewarding.
